Case recommends at least 150hp tractor for this baler, and look at these options; Automatic greasing system; Operating lights; Pan chute with gas struts; Roller chute with hydraulic foldup; Tandem axle; Steerable tandem axle and 13/4 in 20 spline front PTO. The baler shown has some of these options included. |

The Rotor Cutter chops the hay as
it enters the baler. This is going to take some extra
power to do but it would eliminate the need to grind the
bale before feeding. I'm sure the twine would have to be removed before putting into a mixer truck and that would require a good grapple fork for lifting the loose hay. I would expect to pay a premium for hay chopped and baled with this machine. |

This is a five twine knotter head.
It's also the reason I'm a round baler man! I'm sure
these balers are easier to operate than the old timers I
used. Looking this baler over I would say it is a well built machine with great potential and all of the components are heavy duty. I don't know if this machine will make Case a superpower in the hay business but it should help. Having access to preground hay should be a convienience to smaller lots and some horse ranchers that don't have access to a tub grinder. Who knows the BIG feeders may like them to! |
